Hyderabad: BJP president Amit Shah on Sunday said the alliance partners of Congress made it clear that AICC president Rahul Gandhi was not a Prime Ministerial candidate, but the latter was still day dreaming about becoming one.

“The Congress-led alliance does not have any leader and it is a chariot without a charioteer,” Shah said, addressing the concluding session of the two-day Bharatiya Janata Party Yuva Morcha (BJYM) conference here.

Launching a scathing attack on Gandhi and Congress, he said: “BJP is working for national security and integrity while Congress is only hankering after votes. The surgical strikes carried out by the BJP-led NDA government on terror bases in Pakistan is a testimony of how the government works besides revealing the stark difference between Narendra Modi and Mouni Baba (Manmohan Singh) in their functioning”.
