Rain continue to lash Hyderabad on Thursday

Several complaints of water logging, tree falling and building and wall collapsing were lodged from different areas with the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC).

Hyderabad: Heavy rains continued to lash different areas of the city since morning on Thursday, leaving few stretches under sheets of water and affecting normal life.

Several complaints of water logging, tree falling and building and wall collapsing were lodged from different areas with the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC).

Since yesterday, as many as 95 complaints, including 52 water logging, three building and wall collapse, six tree branches and eight tree falling, were made from different areas.

According to officials, till 8.30 am Falaknuma and Jubilee Hills received highest rainfall of 110.33 mm, followed by Rajendranagar (105 mm), Shaikpet (98.3 mm) and Karwan (97.8 mm).

Authorities said rain or thundershowers may occur in many areas across the city today.
