Bellamkonda Sreenivas has surely built himself a reputation of trying to do something new with each film even though most of his earlier movies have tanked at box office. The actor is set to be seen in director Ramesh Varma Penmetsa’s next, Rakshasudu, which is a remake of Tamil original Ratsasan. Starring Sreenivas and Anupama Parameswaran in the lead roles, the investigative-psycho thriller tells the gripping tale how a newly-recruited sub-inspector cracks the mysterious crime case following a personal tragedy.
Produced on the A Havish Lakshman Koneru banner by Koneru Satyanarayana, the crime flick is directed by Ramesh Varma Penmetsa. The movie is currently undergoing post-production work. And the makers will release the movie on August 2. “After seeing the grand success of Tamil version of Ratsasan, we’re very impressed by the story and I am glad to produce this film in Telugu. Devi Sri Prasad’s brother Sagar has penned lyrics for the songs and music is being rendered by Ghibran,” producer Satyanarayana.
