Realtor murdered in Hyderabad due to financial disputes

Hyderabad: A realtor was brutally murdered and his body dumped at an isolated place in Balapur early on Sunday. According to police, the victim, identified as Mohd Idris, 41 , a resident of Teegalakunta in Falaknuma, was into real estate business. As part of his regular business activity, on Saturday afternoon, Idris left his house to meet some persons in Balapur area on the city outskirts.

However, in the evening when family members tried to contact Idris, his phone was switched off. The family members approached the Balapur police on Sunday morning and lodged a complaint of missing case.

Around 9 am on Sunday, locals of Shaheennagar found a body in a pool of blood at an isolated place and informed the police. Based on the description provided by the family members of Idris, the police made the identification of the body.

“Assailants slit his throat with a sharp edged weapon and later pounded his head with boulders. We are trying to establish the motive behind the murder and track them down,” said V Saidulu, Station House Officer, Balapur police station.

A case under Section 302 and 201 of IPC was registered by the police. The family members of the victim told the police that they suspected the role of a man, with whom Idris was having financial disputes, in the murder.
