Hyderabad: An accomplished Public Relations professional, Dr CV Narasimha Reddy passed away here on Wednesday. He was 87 and is survived by two sons, a daughter and grandchildren. Dr Reddy, who authored several books on Public Relations, was suffering from cancer for sometime. He served as the director of the Department of Information and Public Relations and was the press secretary to four Chief Ministers – J Vengal Rao, Dr M Channa Reddy, Bhavanam Venkatram and NT Rama Rao.
He held many other key positions including as Director of Cultural Affairs, Director of Academy of Rural Development. He was appointed by the University Grants Commission as the National Professor in Public Relations (1989-91). He was the academic consultant and launched the first Bachelor of Public Relations course in BR Ambedkar Open University.
He got a doctorate on Information Administration from Osmania University. His last rites would be held on Thursday at Mahaprasthanam at 11 am. Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao expressed his deep condolences on the demise of 87-year-old Dr CV Narasimha Reddy, former Director, Information and Public Relations of United AP.

Describing him as the Bhishma Pitamaha and pioneer of Public Relations profession, the Chief Minister recalled his services in the field of public relations in the State and country. He conveyed his condolences to the members of the bereaved family.
