Reorganisation of districts helped in better administration: Pocharam

Kamareddy: The first district formation day was celebrated grandly at Kamareddy district with several cultural programmes being organised. On the occasion, the Agriculture Minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy laid the foundation stone for the new district Collectorate and office of the Superintendent of Police at Adloor Yellareddy village of Kamareddy mandal which will be constructed at a cost of Rs 50 crore.

The district formation day celebrations were held at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kamareddy, which was graced by Pocharam. The Minister said that the State government established 31 new districts for administrative ease, to bring the administration closer to people, and also for better maintenance of law and order.

At the occasion Telangana Cultural Department and students of several schools and colleges took part in cultural programmes.

After the completion of a year, new Collectorates and offices of the SP are being constructed at a cost of Rs 50 crore. “These new complexes should accommodate all district offices under one roof and provide better services to the people,” the Minister added.

MP BB Patil, Whip Gampa Goverdhan, Yellareddy and Jukkal MLA’s Yenugu Ravinder Reddy, Hanumanthu Shinde, MLC Rajeshwar, ZP chairman D Raju, Collector Satyanarayana, SP Swetha Reddy, officials, public representatives and others participated in the celebrations.
