Retail outlets in Hyderabad Metro stations, one-stop shops for commuters

The authorities of the Metro Rail said that retail stations have been developed to cater to the daily requirements of commuters making the Metro their one-stop solution.

Hyderabad: Almost all the Metro stations in Hyderabad will have retail spaces that will cater to all kinds of needs of the travellers. The authorities of the Metro Rail said that retail stations have been developed to cater to the daily requirements of commuters making the Metro their one-stop solution. According to authorities, the idea of having such retail outlets is to provide various kinds of goods to the convenience of the passengers within the stations.

“Hyderabad Metro Rail, as a seamless and a comfortable mode of travel is not only a boon to the commuters but also to retailers who are encouraged to set up various types of retail stores at the stations,” the metro rail officials said. Each station is being developed as an independent centre catering to the needs of the traffic plying through it on a daily basis. Almost everywhere, the design of retail outlets have been standardised in such a way that they will have Retail, Food and Beverages (F&B) and Service facilities.

Retail outlets will consists of grocery, vegetables, daily needs and accessory stores while F&B will consist of quick service restaurants, large format food courts while the Service section will comprise of ATMs, medical stores etc.
