Warangal Urban: Sulakshya Seva Samithi, which has been helping different sections of people who got affected due the lockdown imposed to curtail the spread of deadly coronavirus pandemic, has distributed SafEnergy kits to 50 sanitation workers on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, founder president of the organization Santhosh Manduva said, “The municipal workers are one of the frontline warriors in the fight against Covid-19. They work day in and day out to keep the surroundings clean not even hesitating to risk their lives for our wellbeing,”
This SafEnergy kit which is designed to support the health and hygiene of the frontline warriors is being distributed as a goodwill gesture for the exemplary services they are extending risking their lives in this hour of crisis. The kit contains six items which include peanut jaggery bar, orange fruits, biscuits and badam milk, face masks and sanitizers.
Flowers were showered on the sanitary workers as a token of respect towards them for working round the clock keeping their lives at bay in such crisis.
“Apart from this we have also been distributing dry ration kits to all those who didn’t get benefitted by the government and are leading a miserable life due to this unprecedented crisis. We have distributed around 300 kits till date” he further stated.
“All these days , most of the people had the attitude of looking down upon such jobs as menial, glad that they now understood that every job is important in building the society . We hope that they show the same respect they are showing now even after corona” said Rama Jyothi , Jawaan , yes echoed all the sanitary workers.
“We were touched by this wonderful gesture and the warmth shown by the members of Sulakshya Seva Samithi who were always in forefront when it comes to giving us the deserved recognition” said Vanamala, a sanitary worker. Kodam Vinay, Vangala Sai Kiran were present on the occasion.
