Hyderabad: Telangana’s Ch Nanda Sai Vinesh bagged the under-12 chess title of the inaugural SLAN Mind Games Championship at Lal Bahadur Stadium. Sai finished with a total of 4.5 points to emerge champion.
The final was the culmination of the chess tournament conducted in the under-9, under-12, under-16 categories across four cities – Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Bangalore, Chennai. A total of over thousand players took part in the competition from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu.
