Sailors complete sub-Maribel course in Visakhapatnam

Visakhapatnam: As many as 125 sailors of various specialization passed out of Submarine School, INS Satavahana after successfully completing the 16-week long Basic Submarine Course on Friday.

The batch consisted of trainees of both Sindhughosh and Shishumar Class Submarine. Capt Mukul Surange, Commanding Officer, INS Satavahana gave away the book prizes and awards to the meritorious trainees.

Milade K Chandera stood first while Vipin Kumar was adjudged second in the overall order of merit. Ravindra Yadav was awarded the trophy for ‘Best Junior Sailor’.

All the trainees would now proceed for further training on board submarines on eastern and western seaboards for sea training.
