Sangareddy: Refused credit, drunk attacks 3 brothers, one serious

Sangareddy: Three brothers were injured, one of them seriously, when they were attacked by a person in an inebriated condition after they refused to serve him toddy on credit at Baswapur village, Pulkal mandal in the district on Tuesday night.

According to Pulkal Police, the accused Begari Hanuman Das (35) attacked Gudepu Ravi, Gudepu Raju and Gudepu Jogaiah, in their toddy shop in the village on Tuesday night. Das got in an argument while consuming toddy, and in a fit of rage, he pulled out a knife from his pocket and attacked the trio indiscriminately.

Jogaiah sustained serious injuries while the rest two suffered minor injuries. They were rushed to Government Hospital here. The condition of Jogaiah is said to be critical.

A case was registered and Hanuman Das was taken into custody. The villagers complained that the accused had the habit of getting into quarrels with everyone over petty issues.
