Hyderabad: Tennis star Sania Mirza has always had an ace up her sleeve to be smashed against the odds. If she handled the trolls and barbs that came her way after the India-Pakistan World Cup cricket clash with grace, there was more in store when Pakistan actress Veena Malik joined a few others to target Mirza’s visit to an eatery along with her husband Shoaib Malik and a few other Pak cricketers.

The eatery visit was already being used as fodder for some who were finding it difficult to digest Pakistan’s rather humiliating loss to India on Sunday, and actress Malik joined the chorus, however bringing in Mirza’s baby into the frame.

Sania, I am actually so worried for the kid. You guys took him to a sheesha place isn’t it Hazardious? Also as far as I know Archie’s is all about junk food which isn’t good for athletes/Boys. You must know well as you are mother and athlete yourself?, she tweeted, tagging Mirza.

Not one to take such jibes lying down, Mirza retorted, saying she had not taken her kid to a sheesha place. And then, taking the response to the next level, said, ‘Not that it’s any of your or the rest of the world’s business cause I think I care about my son a lot more than anyone else does. She followed it up the smash with another one, saying she was not the Pakistan cricket team’s dietician nor their mother nor principal nor teacher.

And without losing her cool, Mirza gracefully pulled the curtains down on the war of words with another tweet, saying: ‘Twitter cracks me up and some ppl for sure .. you guys really need other mediums of taking your frustrations out .. peace out guys it’s break time.” (sic).
