Hyderabad: The Coal Mines Officers Association of India, Singareni Branch new committee, on Tuesday, called on Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) Chairman and MD N Sridhar sought performance related pay (PRP) for 2017-18.
A memorandum, containing 24 demands, was submitted to the Chairman. Singareni officials were paid PRP by the management for 2014-15, 2015-16 and 20016-17 as directed by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.
They reminded the CMD that the PRP was still due for the last financial year. They are yet to get PRP for seven years before Telangana State was formed and the CMD was urged to look into the matter. They also requested the official to conduct a structured meeting with the officers association, consider sanction of vehicle loans, address stagnation issue for those working with the same designation.
The association leaders also sought designations for the officers on the lines of Coal India and steps to constitute DPCs for officers from W7 to E8. Responding positively to their pleas, the SCCL CMD assured them that the management had remained sympathetic to all the genuine demands of the employees and officers. So far as the SCCL employees’ welfare is considered, the management was quite considerate, he said.
He wanted the officers to strive to ensure that the production goals set by the company are achieved for the financial year. The delegation that called on the Chairman includes Jakkam Ramesh, A Rajeshwar Reddy, NV Rajasekhar Rao, SK Salim, Samudrala Srinivas, VV Madhukar and Chandramouli.
