Senior general physician succumbs to Covid-19 in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A 70-year-old senior general physician from Hyderabad passed away at a private hospital on Sunday evening due to Covid-19.

A week ago, the senior doctor, who had completed his MBBS degree from Kakatiya Medical College (KMC), Warangal and was a senior member of the Indian Medical Association (IMA), Hyderabad, was admitted to the private hospital after testing positive for Covid-19.

The senior general physician, who also had hypertension along with Covid-19, was not providing treatment to any patients at his private practice in Himayathnagar. In fact, since the lockdown, he had shut down his clinic and did not interact or provide treatment to any patients, known acquaintances said.
