Hyderabad: As many as seven players, with three points each, are in joint lead at the end of round three on the first day of the Telangana State youth (under-25) open chess championship in city on Saturday.

Bipin Raj,  Naga Sai,  Sibi Srinivas,  Pavan Teja,  Nikunj,  Sai Atchyut and Dhruva Thota maintained clean slate to pocket three points each.

Top four players from this tournament will represent Telangana State in the national youth chess championship.

Important Results: Bipin Raj  (2) bt Vishwa Teja B (2); Sri Charan Sandipagu (2) lost to Sibi Strinivas Einstein (2); Deshpande Shreya (2) lost to Naga Sai (2); Dhruva Thota (2) bt Akira Sowmyanath (2); Pavan Teja Medam (2) bt Srikanth B (2).
