Hyderabad: Hyderabad-based mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) solutions company Shah Global is planning to enter into manufacturing fire, electrical, and Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) products with an investment of Rs 50-60 crore. The unit will be set up in Hyderabad within next two years.
The company which currently has franchisee agreements with global companies such as Honeywell, Victaulic, Vantree and Indian companies such as L&T and India Bulls has an order book worth Rs 100 crore, all of it being domestic at present. It has also created a warehouse in Hyderabad that hosts certain component and systems.
Shah Global founded by Krishna Kanth, a post graduate in Chip Design at Austin, USA and Shanawaz Khan, a post graduate in International Business from University of Wollongong, Australia, has served clients such as Ikea, Kia Motors, Pepsico, Indian Oil Corporation, L&T, DLF, NCC besides major hospitals in Hyderabad and Warangal. The company caters to industrial, commercial and residential sectors.
Shah Global co-founder and executive director, E Krishna Kanth told Telangana Today, “We want to eventually grow in the industrial sector both in India and the Middle East. We see good potential in the petro-chemical and power sector where the challenges are huge as well as the opportunities. We are actively looking at Middle East now and we will focus on South East Asia by end of 2019. We will look at Africa later.”
“For the new unit that we are proposing in Hyderabad, we are talking to companies in Middle East and Europe. We would be exploring this unit in joint venture route and could take up contract manufacturing for global companies to help them meet growing global demand. Hyderabad is centrally located and suits our plans to export to global markets.” he added.
The company which was incorporated in November 2016 and commenced operations in March 2017 has opened its experience cenre at Hyderabad on Saturday. The experience centre has been formally inaugurated by Rio Olympics Medalist PV Sindhu in the presence of Telangana Deputy Chief Minister.
The company has executed projects in Hyderabad, Vellore, Sri City, Vijayawada, Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Mumbai, Pune and Allahabad. It plans to do projects in Bhubaneswar and Bengaluru. It finds big opportunity in Amaravathi.
Victaulic Piping Products India country manager-India Pankaj Soni, said, “We are into piping joints that are needed in any vertical. Our products are used in oil & gas, water, mining and chemicals sector. Through our own efforts and companies such as Shah Global we are making inroads into Telangana and other geographic markets. We have executed our project at Ikea-Hyderabad.”
Shah Global which started off with 11 employees in 2016 has built a team of 600 today. The company has so far invested around Rs 4.5 crore into the business so far.
