Hyderabad: Thirteen Hyderabad cricketers, including Ambati Rayudu and Mohammad Siraj, will go under the hammer for the IPL 2018 auction that will take place in Bengaluru on January 27 and 28. A total of 578 players, including foreign cricketers, are in the fray.

But all eyes will be on the 23-year-old Siraj, who made a sensation in last year’s auction when he was brought for a whopping Rs 2.6 crore by Sunrisers Hyderabad. His market value is put up at Rs 1 crore, the highest from the State, this time around. Siraj, who was the third highest wicket-taker in 2016-17 Ranji Trophy League season, played in six IPL matches. He even won one man of the match award in the Indore match. But this season, the 21-year-old, who is the son of an auto driver, has been troubled by a niggling injury that forced him to play in only one match in Ranji Trophy.

However, he got the biggest breakthrough of his career when he made his debut for the Indian T20 side. He played in two matches at Rajkot against New Zealand and at Mumbai against Sri Lanka.

He played in the recently concluded South Zone T20 Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament in Visakhapatnam where he had non-too-impressive performance for Hyderabad.

Rayudu will also be in the auction after an interrupted stint with Mumbai Indians since 2008. The 32-year-old hard-hitting batsman has been listed as wicketkeeper and has a base value of Rs 50 lakh. Rayudu has since moved to Hyderabad this season after playing for Baroda and Vidarbha in domestic cricket. He had a fairly good season in Ranji Trophy this season, including one century, after Hyderabad’s two matches were washed out at the start of the season. He has played 114 matches for Mumbai Indians.

Left-arm spinner Pragyan Ojha, who is struggling to make a comeback into good form, will try his luck in the Feb 27-28 auction with a base price of Rs 50 lakh. After playing for the defunct Deccan Chargers (Hyderabad) and Mumbai Indians, the 32-year-old Indian spinner went unsold last season. He has played 92 matches in IPL.

The other Hyderabad players who will be in auction are fast bowler M Ravi Kiran, left-arm seamer Chama Milind, all-rounder Ashish Reddy, opener Akshath Reddy, Tanmay Agarwal, Mehdi Hasan, Sudeep Tyagi, B Sandeep and Akash Bhandari. Left-handed Mohd Asaduddin, son of former Indian skipper Mohd Azharuddin, is in the list. All of them have a base price of Rs 20 lakh.

Among Andhra players who are also looking for a team are skipper Hanuma Vihari, Ricky Bhui, DB Ravi Teja, B Sumanth, Venugopal Rao and C Stephen.
