Rajanna-Sircilla: Collector D Krishna Bhaskar on Friday suspended J Komuraiah, livestock officer, at Yellareddypet mandal for dereliction of duties.

The livestock officer at Gollapalli animal husbandry hospital, Komuraiah, was working at Yellareddypet clinic on deputation, and the order for his suspension was issued today.

Following complaints that Komuraiah was not opening the hospital regularly, the Collector visited the clinic at 10.30 am on Friday, and after waiting for 40 minutes, contacted the hospital staff over phone. When the staff informed him that they were on a field visit, the Collector asked them to send their location through Whatsapp. However, they failed to send their location even after 30 minutes.

District animal husbandry officer, who rushed to the spot after 45 minutes, informed the Collector about Komuraiah’s negligence towards his duty, and that he failed to change his attitude even after repeated warnings. The Collector also took the district officer to task for not bringing the issue to his notice earlier.

The Collector interacted with farmers, who complained that they were unable to get the benefits of the hospital. Sick animals died due to lack of treatment. Furious over the official’s approach, the Collector issued orders placing Komuraiah under suspension.
