Six member dacoit gang arrested in Kothagudem

Kothagudem: Police have arrested a six member dacoit gang and recovered 10 tulas of gold from them in the district on Tuesday.

The accused were identified as Mohammad Babji, G Bharat, M Rajender, Shaik Imran, J Raju and A Uday Kumar, all residents of Laxmidevipalli mandal. The Inspector of Police (CI) Boddu Ashok and Sub-Inspector of Police Praveen Kumar who were patrolling Regalla forest area took them into custody as they were moving suspiciously.

During questioning, they confessed to their crimes. They used to threaten lonely women, boys and girls travelling on the road in Regalla forest in Laxmidepally mandal and loot valuables from them at knife point, the CI said.

Some of the accused have undergone five year imprisonment. The police seized two motorbikes, knives and Rs 3000 cash from the arrested.
