Six persons arrested in robbery case in Hyderabad

Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) AR Srinivas said the four arrested persons - M Harish, M Venkatesh, C Sushith and Abhishek Singh - had waylaid a lorry driver Ramesh at OU Colony in Shaikpet on December 2 and robbed his belongings.

Hyderabad: Golconda police arrested six persons on Wednesday in connection with a robbery case reported at Shaikpet on Monday. The police seized mobile phones, cash and ATM cards from their possession.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) AR Srinivas said the four arrested persons – M Harish, M Venkatesh, C Sushith and Abhishek Singh – had waylaid a lorry driver Ramesh at OU Colony in Shaikpet on December 2 and robbed his belongings.

“The four persons beat up Ramesh when he resisted them and snatched his mobile phones, ATM cards and Rs 2,000,” said the DCP. While the four persons were arrested for mugging the trucker, two others – Vishal Pangre and M Vivek Kumar – were also arrested for purchasing the stolen property from them.
