Six test positive for Covid-19 in Mahabubnagar

The police personnel working at Midgil were alerted after coming to know about their fellow officer testing positive to the virus.

Mahabubnagar: In a swift turn of events, six Covid-19 positive cases were reported in the district on Thursday. A sub-inspector of police of Midgil police station, who was attached to AR in Mahabubnagar district headquarters last month, tested positive for coronavirus.

His family has been living at the police quarters at the Midgil police station’s premises. The police personnel working at Midgil were alerted after coming to know about their fellow officer testing positive to the virus.

At Ajilapuram village of Devarkadra mandal, a girl child was tested positive for coronavirus. Medical and health officials screened the villagers who lived close to the girl’s parents’ house on Thursday for coronavirus symptoms.

An electronic media reporter and his father, residents of Mahabubnagar town, were also tested positive for the virus. It also turned out that an ANM and her husband also tested positive for Covid.
