Snapshots from Telangana’s floral festival

The state-level Bathukamma photo exhibition organised by Telangana State Photojournalists Association Greater Hyderabad received a great response.

Bathukamma festivities are a true reflection of Telangana life and culture, and photographers creatively freeze them in frames, said Tourism and Culture Minister V Srinivas Goud on the sidelines of the state-level Bathukamma photo exhibition inaugurated by him.

Organised by Telangana State Photojournalists Association Greater Hyderabad in association with the Cultural department at Ravindra Bharathi, the minister Srinivas Goud said Telangana culture, tradition, language and heritage have a special identity.

He urged the photographers to effectively document the historic monuments, festivities, culture and tradition of the State and take them across the globe. After viewing the selected photographs displayed at the exhibition, Goud appreciated the photographers for their creative works.

Telangana State Photojournalists Association Greater Hyderabad unit president, Anand Dharmana and general secretary, V Rajanikanth Goud said nearly 100 photographers from across the State with 200 entries participated in the competition. The photo exhibition is open at Ravindra Bharathi till Thursday.

Other office bearers of the association, M Anil Kumar, A Suresh Kumar, N Siva Kumar, Gopi Krishna, Deepak Deshpande, Narre Rajesh, Vijay Gupta, Chakravathi and Satish Gupta and others participated in the inaugural of the photo exhibition.
