Social reformist Phoolbasan Bai Yadav felicitated

Hyderabad: Raja Bahadur Venkat Ram Reddy Women’s College as part of Women’s Day celebration felicitated founder of Maa Bamleshwari Janhit Kare Samiti and Padmasri, Phoolbasan Bai Yadav.

She was born in a poor family in Dhangaon, Chhattisgarh and was married at the age of ten. Inspired by Mahatma Gandhi, she decided to free communities from corruption, dowry, poverty, caste discrimination and other social and cultural evils.

Addressing on the occasion, Bai Yadav spoke about the hardships she faced in her life. She inspired the students with anecdotes on her courage in fighting poverty and child marriage.
