SP turns English teacher, imparts grammar at school  

Sreenivas was on his maiden tour to the sleepy village after assuming charge of SP of the district.

Adilabad Superintendent of Police M. Sreenivas teaching English subject to students of Zilla Parishad High School of Devapur village in Talamadugu mandal on Tuesday.

Adilabad: Superintendent of Police M Sreenivas, who is winning accolades for taking up innovative programmes, on Tuesday donned the role of an English teacher at Government School of Devapur village and taught grammar to school children.  The village, situated in Talamadugu mandal, was adapted by the then SP Tarun Joshi as part of Grama Jyothi programme in 2014.

Sreenivas was on his maiden tour to the sleepy village after assuming charge of SP of the district. Initially, he along with some residents of the habitation, conducted Swachch Bharat and cleaned up garbage and trash piled on the streets and junctions. He suggested them to keep surroundings clean. He assured that he would install dustbins in the village.

Then, the recently posted SP visited Zilla Parishad High School of the village and taught English to students of Class VI. He suggested certain techniques to improve communication skills. Earlier, he inspected the premises of the institution and instructed cooking staff to provide quality food to the pupils.

Later, participating in a grama sabha held on the premises of the school, Sreenivas sought cooperation from natives of the village in developing it. He told the participants to provide education to their children. He assured that a report would be submitted to Collector to improve basic amenities of the habitation.
