Jayashankar Bhupalpally: Speaker S Madhusudhana Chary on Saturday launched renovation works of Sakarasikunta tank at Shyamnagar near Bhupalpally town.

It is being renovated as part of Phase IV of Mission Kakatiya at an estimated cost of Rs 44 lakh. The Speaker said Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao launched the programme to improve farming and simultaneously, the lives of farmers.

“In Bhupalpally constituency alone, some 1.94 lakh acres will get irrigation facility,” he said and added that DBM 38 canal would benefit farmers in the constituency. He said he was taking all steps to place Bhupalpally constituency in the top position.

Later, he visited a tank at Dommatipalle which is being developed with Rs 3.5 crore. Earlier, the Speaker laid the foundation stone for CC road works at Shyamnagar.

Local ZPTC Meerabai, MPP Raghupathi Rao, Sarpanch Dasari Ravi and others were present.
