Hyderabad: IT and Industries Minister K T Rama Rao announced that special incentives will be extended for local entrepreneurs as part of the State government’s initiative to support industrial development. He also assured to take up construction of Vysya Bhavan after TRS returns to power after ensuing elections.
Speaking at the 5142nd birth anniversary celebrations of Maharaj Agrasen organised at Maharaj Agrasen junction in Banjara Hills here on Wednesday, Rama Rao recalled that the life of Maharaj Agrasen was inspirational for several generations. He garlanded the statue of Maharaj Agrasen along with Deputy Chief Minister Mohd Mahmood Ali, former Chief Minister of undivided Andhra Pradesh and former Governor of Tamil Nadu K Rosaiah and others.
The Minister said the TRS government was successfull in providing uninterrupted quality power to all sectors including industries in the State. “Industrialists used to stage protests against power cuts during the regime of the previous governments, but within six months after assuming power, the TRS government achieved a big turnaround to do away with power cuts permanently,” he stated. He said the Telangana government introduced a revolutionary programme such as TS-iPASS which boosted industrial development in the State and also ensured a hassle-free permission procedure for the entrepreneurs.
Later in the day, BJP national president Amit Shah paid floral tributes to Maharaj Agrasen during his visit to Hyderabad. The All India Vysya Federation organised the birth anniversary celebrations of Maharaj Agrasen in the city.
