Warangal Urban: A novel two-and-a-half day IoT Hackathon, which was held for the first time in Telangana, at SR Innovation Exchange (SRiX), concluded on Monday. As many as 31 computer programmers, designers and others participate in the event and built the Internet of Things (IoT) product prototypes.
“We are happy that our product innovation lab series-I concluded successfully. The aim is to build a talent pool of engineering students equipped with knowledge and experience to be industry-ready or to start businesses on their own. Some 25 engineering students of SRiX partner/ associate colleges participated. They have undergone a five-week intensive programme, which focused on the theme of IoT-related ideas and products. Multidisciplinary teams— Electronics, Electrical, Computers Science, Mechanical Engineering and MBA — were formed. Problem statements were defined by the industry to the teams; each team was given five weeks for building the minimum viable product for a given problem statement with mentoring support,” said Sreedevi Devireddy, CEO, SRiX.
