Warangal: The quest for student innovation mavericks ended on November 23. As many as 103 students teams from all over the country participated in InnovationX 2.0 held at SR Innovation Exchange in Warangal.
InnovationX 2.0 is a platform created by SRiX Warangal for student innovators at all levels, who have a dream to create something new, aspire to make a societal impact, contribute to India’s success towards becoming an Innovative nation. Teams belonging to NIT Warangal and SR Engineering college shared the winner title.
Team from Ryan International School was declared winner in school category. Teams of IIT Mumbai & BITS Hyderabad shared the runner up title. Team MHFictio from SR Engineering College working on smart ring based on bone conduction technology which simplifies the communication process for physically impaired and Team Aakaar from NIT, Warangal working on modular blocks to revolutionise the K12 education for visually challenged students, were declared winners.
Search Lives team from Ryan international school, Delhi, a team of 11th&12th standard students working on creating a one-stop portal for emergency organ and blood donations bagged the title in School category. Teams Vithoba Enterprises from IIT, Bombay, and WOGI from BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus were runners in the challenge. Winners were awarded Rs 25000 cash prize each along with incubation and mentorship support from SRiX Warangal. Runner up teams were awarded Rs 15000 each along with Incubation and Mentorship support.
The judgment was done based on the innovation quotient and problem-solving parameters. The jury included Rajasekhar Chandra, Senior Vice President, MITS; Pankaj Diwan, Founder Idealabs; Lalith Mohan S, IIIT Hyderabad, M Gopi Nuti, MUST Research Lab, Aditya Atluri, AhamLearning.

SR Innovation Exchange is the Technology Business Incubator of SR Engineering College supported by DST (department of science & technology, Government of India). SRiX is one of the four incubators in the country to offer the prestigious PGDM – IEV course approved by AICTE, a unique one of its kind course launched for the first time in India. SR Innovation Exchange is official TIDE 2.0 centre under Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MietY) to promote technology entrepreneurship in the country especially in educational institutions.
