SRSP received 6 TMC’s of water in last 48 hours

Nizamabad: North Telangana’s boon, Sri Ram Sagar Project (SRSP) once again received good inflows from upper catchment areas, with the project receiving nearly 45,500 cusecs of inflows on Tuesday evening and acquired nearly six TMC’s of water from two days.

Out of 91 TMC’s and 1091 FRL, now SRSP has 1075.40 feats water level and has 40.703 TMC’s water. On 10th October project has 1072.60 feats water level and has 34.401 TMC’s water, now project has 40.703 TMC’s water and received nearly 6 TMC’s of water.

Maharashtra Irrigation officials released 16,633 cusecs of water from Vishnupuri project by opening one crust gate, and simultaneously good rainfall recorded in River Godavari Catchment area at Maharashtra and Telangana state totally 6 TMC’s water received in 48 hours. SRSP Officials expecting more inflows from upper catchment areas for next two days and it should be helpful to the rabi crops in North Telangana region.
