Hyderabad: Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Commissioner M Dana Kishore on Wednesday instructed officials to immediately take up works on the approach roads to the East Anandbagh railway under bridge (RUB).
During an inspection of the progress of the construction work of the East Anandbagh RUB, Kishore said the construction of the bridge was stalled due to delays in acquisition of seven properties. He said work on the approach roach had to be commenced immediately as it would benefit 90 per cent of public in the locality. He told officials to clear a water pipeline and underground electric cables that had become obstacles for the work.
The construction of the RUB was taken up at an estimated cost of Rs 27 crore, out of which the South Central Railway gave Rs 15.10 crore as its share for a box portion that was completed in March. For clearing electric poles and water pipelines, the Roads and Building Department has sanctioned Rs 1.95 crore while the Water board has given Rs 8 crore, he said.
