Hyderabad: BJP Greater Hyderabad city president and MLC N Ramachander Rao on Friday criticised MP Asaduddin Owaisi for asking people not to cooperate with government officials who visit their houses to collect data under NPR.
“Provoking and instigating people against government officials itself is radicalisation and de-radicalisation is necessary when leaders like Owaisi try to radicalise people by asking them not to show Aadhar card and other documents to officials,” the MLC said in a statement. “First you stop radicalisation of people in the name of CAA, NCR and NPR, then question of de-radicalization does not arise,” he said.
Rao alleged that Owaisi with his dangerous attitude was trying to politicise army by making comments against Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat. He said Owaisi should not find fault with CDS’ opinion who had vast experience in armed forces. Stating that government officials would have to collect data as per the government orders, the BJP leader said once Parliament takes a decision, it was official and not political. Rao appealed to the Muslims not to get carried away by such radical leaders and cooperate with the officials for registering their names in NPR for getting government benefits.
