Student’s kin beat up headmaster in Kothagudem

Kothagudem: Parents and family members of a girl beat up the headmaster of a private school for allegedly misbehaving with the student at Dammapet in Bhadradri Kothagudem district on Wednesday.

According to sources, the student studying at St Mary’s High School was said to have scored low marks in English. The headmaster, Sleeva Raju, summoned her to his chambers to question why she did not do well in the subject and at allegedly misbehaved with her.

The incident took place on Saturday. When the girl did not go to school on Monday and Tuesday, her parents asked her the reason and she narrated the incident. In a fit of rage, her parents and family members went to the school and beat up Raju.

Raju maintained that he only admonished the student. When contacted Aswaraopet CI K Abbaiah said no complaint was lodged by the parents of the student.
