Students paint on ‘Tourism Places in Telangana’

Hyderabad: Telangana Tourism in collaboration with Bandhan Cultural, Social Service and Literary organisation conducted drawing, painting and essay writing competitions for schoolchildren and college students between the age groups of 3 years and 18 years at City Grandhayala Samstha, Chikkadpally, on Sunday, according to a press release.

Chairperson of Bandhan Organisation, D Vanitha said over 150 schoolchildren from the twin cities and Ranga Reddy district participated in the competitions.

The topic of the painting competition was ‘Tourism Places in Telangana’ and most of the paintings drawn by the schoolchildren and college students were of Charminar, Golconda Fort, Salar Jung Museum, Nehru Zoological Park, Yadadri and Bhadrachalam.

Depending on their age, the students were divided into groups comprising of three to five years, six to eight years, nine to 12 years, and, 13 years to 18 years, who formed the senior group. The competitions were sponsored by Telangana Tourism Department.
