Summer plan to tackle drinking water scarcity in Suryapet

Suryapet: The district Collector K Surendra Mohan has directed the official to take up alternative measures to ensure there is no drinking water scarcity in rural areas during the summer.

Speaking at the Prajavani, the grievance redressal programme conducted at the district Collectorate, Surendra Mohan said that with the temperature rising in the district due to summer, there was a need to accord top priority to supply adequate drinking water to the people.

The Collector also stressed on the need to create awareness among the people to prevent fire accidents during summer season.

He has also asked the officials to speed up the efforts to achieve the target of making all villages as Open Defecation Free (ODF) villages in the district. Swatchhatha Rallies would be taken out with women and children in villages to create awareness on the importance of individual toilets.

Joint Collector D Sanjeeva Reddy, District Revenue Officer P Yadi Reddy and officers of different department were also present.
