Music festivals, especially EDM, are nothing new for Hyderabadis anymore and the scene just gets crazier. On Friday evening, Kygo Sunburn Arena Tour, brought to the country by Percept Live and co-sponsored by Ola, was nothing less than an epic night.

The evening opened with leading DJs taking up the stage like Gaurav Mehta, DJ Shashank, Anish Sood and Frank Walker before the main act by Kygo. Despite running behind schedule, Kygo — in black t-shirt and jeans with his signature baseball cap worn backward, did not fail to impress his fans.

He kick-started with his very own music, Stole the Show ft Parson James, which was then followed by his other hit tracks like Stargazing ft Justin Jesso, It Ain’t me ft Selena Gomez and a few remixes like Sexual Healing by Marvin Gaye and Shape of You by Ed Sheeran.

Kygo’s music, tropical house genre, is known for its soothing and chill-out dance tracks. The 26-year-old producer, DJ and songwriter’s real name is Kyrre Gorvell-Dahll and is famously known by his stage name Kygo. He wrapped up his tour in Hyderabad with his single, Firestone, which made him acquire worldwide recognition.

Sheik Aman, a student of Hyderabad Public School who came to the concert with his friends, says, “This is my second time at Sunburn Hyderabad and it just gets better.” The youngster also says that Kygo Sunburn Arena was the best because he loves the artist and Gachibowli Athletic Stadium is the best place to host such music festivals as it is spacious. No doubt Hyderabadis had a great time, kudos to the well-coordinated security as well.
