Hyderabad: Telangana government would soon start ‘T-Works’ to encourage electronics and hardware research in the State, said IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao here on Thursday.

During a review meeting on fiber grid works with department officials, Rao said T-Works, which is on the lines of T-Hub, would start its functioning by April this year.

“Hardware industry would get new boost with the T-Works and ideas in this field will be honoured,” Minister said. The department has already identified 12 locations to establish the unit and the final location will be announced within two weeks,” KTR said.

Reviewing fiber grid works, the Minister asked contractors to finish the laying of fiber line works on the war footing. KTR said soon a detailed report would be submitted to the Central government on fiber grid. He also assured the officials that there was no dearth of funds for the works as the Centre was also supporting the programme.
