Senior photojournalist K Ramesh Babu brings out beautiful aspects of Gond and Kolams culture through his lens in about fifty beautiful images.

A picture of a tribal with a headgear made of peacock feathers greets visitors at the ‘Ghusadi’ art exhibition by veteran photojournalist K Ramesh Babu. Each image here speaks for itself, reflecting well the culture and traditions of the Gonds and Kolams, tribal communities of the Dravidian race.

There are about 50 images on display, and every image has a unique story to tell. While one picture focuses on the rituals followed by the tribes, others bring out fascinating aspects of their festivals. The moment you enter the gallery, there is a unique aura that pulls you into the world of the tribes.

In another picture, one can also observe a person enjoying his smoke, decked up with ornaments and facial makeup. The picture is so artistically captured that one can clearly feel the blissful moments he is enjoying. Ramesh Babu said this exhibition has changed his perspective on life. “This has given me insights into lives I had never experienced,” he added.

The exhibition is open to public till November 25 at GMC Balayogi Paryatak Bhavan, Begumpet.
