Hyderabad: Cloud communications provider, Tanla Solutions citing safety concerns for its employees, partners and customers has announced that the company will opt-out of the forthcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2020 at Barcelona scheduled to take place from Feb 24 to 27.

Given the global outbreak of the coronavirus and alarming spread of the global epidemic, Tanla and its wholly-owned subsidiary company, Karix Mobile announced their plan to withdraw from exhibiting and participating at the event. Tanla had announced its advanced blockchain communication suite at MWC last year.

Uday Reddy, CMD, Tanla Solutions, shares his concerns “We were geared up and well prepared to showcase our next-gen solutions but after several discussions, we decided to withdraw our participation. It’s unfortunate that we will miss the networking opportunities at MWC this year but we cannot risk the health of our employees.”

The decision to withdraw from MWC has come after a lot of internal discussions among the leadership team, the company said in its statement.
