Hyderabad: Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK), the government arm that has been created to train manpower as per industry needs, will now focus on technical writing and is hoping to train about 500 people in a year, said Sujiv Nair, Chief Executive Officer, TASK.

“Technical writing is a niche skill in aerospace. We will expand in this. There are a lot of job opportunities coming up for ITI and polytechnic people in the aerospace segment,” he said.

“TASK is working with Safran to set up a Centre of Excellence in the aerospace SEZ. This will come up in the latter’s hub and this will be in a PPP model, where all aerospace companies can benefit from the setup. We hope this will be ready early next year. We will get the candidates for the training. We will give trained hands to the aerospace companies,” he said.

TASK is targeting to train about 500 people in the first year of operations, he said, adding that many companies need trained hands in machining, tooling and milling operations. There will also be a requirement in electrical space and supervision as well, he said. There will also be demand for people in testing and production, the official said.
