Kothagudem: Leaders of Telangana Boggu Ghani Karmika Sangham (TBGKS) campaigned in support of TRS nominee K Kanakaiah in Yellandu on Sunday.

The sangham’s State president B Venkat Rao, its leaders Koti Reddy, Peraiah and others conducted a meeting at JK-5 open cast mine on Sunday. Addressing the SCCL workers they appealed to them to vote for the TRS nominee.

Venkat Rao said Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was keen about the welfare of Singareni workers and officers alike. The decision to provide Rs 10 lakh interest-free loan facility to officers and workers for constructing own houses proved this, they said.

Similarly, the Chief Minister had directed the SCCL management to increase the profit share to 27 per cent this year from 25 per cent given the previous year. He also issued directions to clear performance related pay, due to Singareni officers for the last 8 years, forthwith, they added.

KCR’s suggestion to address Singareni workers as employees without discriminating them from other staff indicates his concern towards the SCCL workers. The same was the case of allowing use of air conditioners in workers’ quarters with free power, he added.

Kanakaiah under leadership of the CM ensured development of Yellandu Assembly constituency. About 23,000 single women and physically-challenged persons in five mandals of the constituency were being given pensions, Venkat Rao noted.
