Siddipet: Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao has accused Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Nara Chandrababu Naidu of making an attempt to stall the development of Telangana by forging a poll alliance with Congress party in Telangana.
Addressing the Mudiraj Atmeeya Sabha in Siddipet here on Friday, the Minister said that Naidu had made all out efforts to stop the Centre from making Telangana a separate State until the last minute by working against the wishes of people of the State. He further said the TDP president was now working to hinder the development of Telangana.
While the Congress leaders were roaming around New Delhi, he said the TDP leaders were shuttling between Amaravati and Hyderabad seeking party ticket, the Minister added.
Harish Rao called upon the people of Siddipet to send him to State Assembly for the sixth time if they wanted self-rule since TRS leadership was based in Hyderabad and not out of Telangana.
“We struggled to achieve statehood for Telangana for want of self-rule, but our power mongering Telangana leaders are again pledging self-respect with New Delhi and Amaravati,” he lamented. Finance Minister Etela Rajender said that Harish Rao would break his own election record this time if voted to power.
