Teenager dies while learning to ride motorbike in Asifabad

Manoj suffered fatal injuries when his motorbike rammed into a wall of the mini-stadium where he was learning to ride the two-wheeler with the help of his friends.

Kumram Bheem Asifabad: A 13-year old boy died on the spot after sustaining serious injuries when his two-wheeler hit a wall at a stadium, while he was learning to ride a motorcycle at Koutala mandal centre on Sunday. Koutala police Sub-Inspector A Anjaneyulu said the deceased was Durgam Manoj Kumar, son of Vittal, a farmer from Nadimabad hamlet under Koutala gram panchayat. Manoj completed Class VI at Telangana State Residential School-Sirpur (T) and was spending summer vacations.

Manoj suffered fatal injuries when his motorbike rammed into a wall of the mini-stadium where he was learning to ride the two-wheeler with the help of his friends. Consequently, death was instantaneous for him. He had multiple injuries on his head and body. The police rushed to the spot and shifted the body to Sirpur (T) government hospital where post-mortem was held.
A pall of gloom descended on the tiny habitation following the death of the teenager. Many residents gathered at his residence to console the parents. They recalled that Manoj was a decent boy and was good at studies.

Based on a complaint received from Vittal, a case was registered.
