Telangana ​DGP asks cops to be abreast with technology

Hyderabad: Director General of Police Anurag Sharma inaugurated the modernised Pahadishareef police station in Rachakonda Commissionerate here on Saturday.

Sharma stressed the need for police force to keep itself abreast with technological advancements and said, “Today technology has reduced the time of investigation and enhanced the quality of evidence.” Telangana Police had gained reputation for quick response and the modernised police stations were facilitating good service delivery for citizens, he said.

Also, the Rachakonda Commissionerate has now got its exclusive cyber crime station at Vanasthalipuram, whereas previously the cases were processed at Gachibowli. The subsidiary canteen for the welafre of police force too is now reachable for Rachakonda staff.

The Pahadishareef police station has been constructed at a cost of Rs 45 lakh, construction of subsidairy canteen and CCS with Rs 50 lakh and LB Nagar traffic police station at Rs 60 lakh. Chevella MP Vishveshwar Reddy, MLA Teegala Krishna Reddy and others participated in the function.
