Hyderabad: As Telangana turned four, it was not just the State that was abuzz with Formation Day celebrations. Festivities were also witnessed across the globe, with the celebrations trending even on social media platforms like Twitter.
Twitter saw a flood of tweets with the hashtag #TelanganaFormationDay with both commoners and celebrities from other States joining in conveying Statehood day wishes to the people of Telangana.
President Ramnath Kovind surprised netizens by greeting the people of both Telugu States in Telugu and also in English. “Greetings to the people of Telangana on statehood day. My best wishes to the people on their development journey,” he tweeted.

Union ministers Rajnath Singh, Suresh Prabhu, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore and Hardeep Singh Puri were among those who extended their greetings. Suresh Prabhu, who wished for the speedy development of the State, also tweeted in Telugu.

The Chief Ministers of Karnataka, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Tripura, and Manipur also wished for the progress of the State in leaps and bounds. HD Kumaraswamy, the CM of Karnataka, recalled the warm ties that Telangana and Karnataka share.
