Telangana Association of UK celebrates TS Formation Day in London

Rich tributes were paid to Prof. Jayashankar and those who laid down their lives for the cause of separate Telangana and later a cake was cut to set off the celebrations.

London: Telangana Association of United Kingdom (TAUK) in London celebrated “Telangana State Formation Day” on a grand scale on Saturday. The Telangana NRIs from across UK participated in the event and greeted each other to mark the fourth year of the State formation. Rich tributes were paid to Prof. Jayashankar and those who laid down their lives for the cause of separate Telangana and later a cake was cut to set off the celebrations.

Speaking on the occasion, the TAUK founder Anil Kurmachalam said, “We are very fortunate to be part of this historic Telangana movement and being NRIs we could be able to contribute during the agitation and inspired many NRIs with the activities in London. We thank KCR for leading this peaceful movement and giving us an opportunity to be part of it. Also we are very lucky to see the state formation”. He assured to continue efforts to transform the State into “Golden Telangana”.

TAUK President Pavithra Kandi said it was a dream come true for many NRIs who participated in the separate Telangana movement. Though many leaders tried in the past for the cause of Telangana, only KCR could achieve the goal of carving out the separate Telangana State because of his leadership qualities. She said TAUK would support the Telangana government in anyway which it can to make the State a golden Telangana.

TAUK vice-president Swathi Buadagam & TAUK advisory vice-chairman Matta Reddy said the association was not just meant to celebrate the state formation day, but it would help take up welfare and development activities for the benefit of Telangana NRIs and also promote Telangana culture globally. He said the Telangana State under the leadership of KCR was making rapid strides and had already become the number one state in the country on many counts.

Among those who attended the celebrations were: TAUK vice president Swathi Buadagam, general secretary Vikram Reddy Rekula, advisory vice chairman Matta Reddy, Venkat Reddy Dontula, Naveen Reddy, Srikanth Jella, Ashok Dusari, Rathnakar Kadudula, Ravi Retinieni, Madhusudhan Reddy, Praveen Veera, Sathyapal, Sathya Chilumula, Sathyam Kandi, Malla Reddy, Satheesh Gottemukkala, Ravi Pradeep, Ranjith, Rakesh Patel, Venky, Supraja Pulusu, Kranthi, Sree Sravya, and Sri Lakshmi.
