Telangana a role model for rest of India, says KTR

Rajanna-Sircilla: Information Technology and Municipal Administration Minister, KT Rama Rao said that the newly formed Telangana had become a role model for the entire country by designing and implementing innovative schemes to fulfill needs of the people.

Schemes such as Mission Kakatiya, Mission Bhagiratha, Kalyanalaxmi, Rythu Bandhu, land purification, Farmer Insurance, major Irrigation Projects, T-hub, and TS-iPASS are attracting the attention of the nation, the Minister said while participating in Telangana formation day celebrations in Sircilla on Saturday.

Besides foreign delegates, representatives from various organisations and States are visiting Telangana to examine the implementation of schemes. People belonging to other States were pressurizing their governments to introduce Telangana-like schemes in their respective States, he informed. Going a step ahead, residents of 40 Maharashtra villages located adjoining to Telangana demanded the government to merge their habitations in Telangana State. So that they could get all benefits being implemented in the State.

On the other hand, some of the political parties have incorporated Telangana schemes in their election manifestos in recent polls while some States were already implementing the schemes .

It shows how the people of the nation were attracted towards the schemes being designed and implemented in Telangana, he observed and said State is moving ahead in all front with proper planning and economic discipline.


Telangana, which materialized after a long struggle, succeeded on all fronts by moving in a positive way. It has become a routine for Telangana Rashtra Samithi to face hurdles from a section of the people during the time of agitation as well as after coming to power in the new state.

Government proves that it was possible to overcome hurdles if the decision was strong enough, he said and expressed confidence to move ahead with same sprite in future to achieve Bangaru Telangana.

Talking about employees, KTR said besides recognizing their services, government was taking measures for the welfare of employees and solving their problems. Government has released a calendar to protect Sircill weavers by procuring their produce. Talking about Rythu Bandhu scheme, KTR termed it as a ‘new era’ in the history of agriculture sector and farmers.

Expressing happiness over winning national award in cleanliness and construction of a record number of individual toilets, Minister opined it was a great honor for the people of the district. He also felt happy for securing the first place in the country in Swachh Darpan ranking given as part of Swachh Bharath Mission.
