Hyderabad: Telangana boys stormed into the final of the 81st UTT Junior and Youth Nationals at the Indoor Hall of the M.A. Stadium in Jammu on Wednesday. However, the State youth girls went down to Maharashtra `A’ in the semifinals.
In the youth boys’ semifinals, Telangana took three hours to inflict a 3-2 defeat on Mizoram. In a close contest, TS started on a bad note as Mohammad Ali lost to Jeho. However, SFR Snehit leveled the scores by defeating Alberto Lrruata. Siril Saroj Pela put TS 2-1 ahead with a win over John Zaliana. It became two-all as Jeho tamed Snehit. In the crucial fifth game Ali kept his nerves to beat Lrruata to give Hyderabad a spot in the final. They meet Delhi in the final on Thursday.
