Telangana: Collectors asked to follow MCC guidelines strictly

Hyderabad: Chief Secretary S K Joshi has instructed officials of various departments and District Collectors to strictly follow the Moral Code of Conduct guidelines issued by the Election Commission of India. The Chief Secretary held a meeting with officials on various issues and also held a video conference with District Collectors at the State Secretariat on Thursday. He told officials to continue with the existing and ongoing schemes.

He instructed the officials to take necessary steps required to implement the new Presidential Order on the new zonal system by March 31. He told officials to see that new districts Mulugu and Narayanapet are also included in the Presidential order.

CS said that one nodal officer should be appointed for every department pertaining to the T-Web portal. Speaking at the meeting, IT Principal Secretary Jayesh Ranjan said there are around 573 websites and necessary actions were being taken to maintain them according to the guidelines for Telangana government Websites.

“We will integrate all the government Departments websites and link them with the State portal beside ensuring that the websites are cyber-secured, user-friendly as well as PWD-friendly,” he said.

Joshi instructed the officials to complete all the reforms regarding the Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) parameters by March 19. He discussed other issues like Solid Waste Management, Haritha Haram, Model Code of Conduct and Forest land survey with district collectors during the video conference.

Municipal Administration Principal Secretary Arvind Kumar said solid waste should be disposed of by the scientific system. “We will send experts to the districts to create awareness about solid waste management system,” he said.
