‘Telangana committed to welfare of its youth’

Stating that youth were backbone of the nation, Narender Reddy, who is also TRS district president, exhorted the youth to derive inspiration from the life of Swamy Vivekananda and strive to enrich the culture of the State.

Nalgonda: Telangana State Forest Development Corporation (TSFDC) Chairman Banda Narender Reddy on Wednesday said the State government was committed to the welfare of the youth and taken up several measures to tap their potentiality in several sectors.

Inaugurating district-level youth festival at NG College in Nalgonda, Reddy said after the formation of Telangana State, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao laid special focus on encouraging the youth to excel in the fields of their interest such as education, sports and others. He pointed out that the State government had also taken up construction of mini stadiums at Assembly constituency level. The construction of mini stadiums at Alair and Suryapet was completed while Devarakonda mini stadium was on the verge of completion, he added.

He reminded that the State government had also sanctioned Rs 20 lakh for development of indoor and outdoor stadiums in Nalgonda and outdoor stadium in Bhongir.

Stating that youth were backbone of the nation, Narender Reddy, who is also TRS district president, exhorted the youth to derive inspiration from the life of Swamy Vivekananda and strive to enrich the culture of the State. He also asked the youth to participate in various competitions being organised as a part of the district-level youth festival in a large number and also bring a good name to the district bagging prizes at the State-level competitions.

Joint Collector C Narayana Reddy, District Sports Development Officer Mohammed Iqubal and others were present.
