Telangana Jagruthi conference on Jan 19, 20

More than 500 delegates from 110 countries will be participating in the conference which focuses on United Nation- Sustainable Development Goals.

Hyderabad: Telangana Jagruthi is organising the Telangana Jagruthi International Youth Leadership Conference (TJIYLC) with the theme ‘Mahatma Gandhi’s Path to Sustainability and Innovation’ at Novotel Convention Centre on January 19 and 20.

More than 500 delegates from 110 countries will be participating in the conference which focuses on United Nation- Sustainable Development Goals. The Telangana Jagruthi founder president and MP Kalvakuntla Kavitha is hosting the conference.

TJIYLC 2019 will facilitate a process that strengthens youth participation in planning, implementation and evaluation of various global issues, related to the process of defining the future global development framework from a Gandhian perspective.

The conference will commence with the address of Anna Hazare who will speak on Gandhian Path to Sustainability and India’s unique role in sustainable development, why youth is key to attain sustainable development goals, on Saturday.

This will be followed by a session by noted journalist Shekhar Gupta, who will moderate a panel which will focus on ‘What Have Policymakers Done for Youth Development in India?’.

Other sessions during the conference will feature industry experts who will share their experiences on aspects such as improving operational efficiency, promoting worker safety and wages, managing global partnership goals, life below water and life above land.

The conference concludes with a keynote featuring Kamal Singh, Executive Director, UN Global Compact and Virendra Sharma, Member of Parliament of the United Kingdom. Also lined up is a panel discussion on women leadership and sustainable development.
